Fiesta Pasko and Toastmaster Evaluation Seminar

Yesterday was my very busiest day. I tell you the whole story. It was a two event a toastmaster seminar at Grand Regal Lanang from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. and the fiesta pasko a first ever event that was held at Davao Light ponciano starting 3:00 p.m. to "sawa", aside from that I want a cost estimate of a pingpong table including all its accessories.

How will you present your evaluation?

1. Mention good points of speaker
2. Cite areas for improvement
3. Summarize: Emphasis on good points

Suggestions

• Be specific ( example I saw you that you are not confident)
• Be objective ( example that person)
• Own your statements ( it should be I do not use anybody)
• Be warm smile
• Offer to be of help further

As Guide

• Measure your worth as an evaluator
• Not be the smoothness of your evaluation
• But by the progress of your evaluatees.

On the fiesta bazar pasko



Our product in Panabo Branch was Bibingka. We sold it all til 8:oo pm. There are lots of product for sale from different department almost all from foods to homes tools etc. But in the evening there was a rain. it causes to stop all the fun and the concert even me I am wet because I'am going to the four malls to get the right pingpong table and its accessories.

If you wonder why I attached that picture above because I'am the one given a task to make a banner for the exclusive fiesta pasko bazar at Davao Light ponciano. At first I'am hesitant making a banner beacause I have no experience in designing like that but as I confronting and thinking deeply I come up that design which relate to the popular show fear factor. So If you have time tomorrow at 3:00 pm November 30, 2008, we have lots of surprises product from different department, the reason why we create this seldom bazar is that all the profit that we gain including the capital will given to the poor people who needed it as our pasko giving.

Word of honor

Word of honor is very important specially when the person/child you are talking is your kids.
After attending church service 30 km away from our home. I promised my son that if he never sleep while I driving my motor I give him a reward eating and buying kiddy meals at Jollibee but it so happen he started to sleep but because we had a promised he was trying to open his eyes even if we are in panabo very near na in the jollibee. That moment I felt mercy and sad how he loves jollibee I don't know what's jollibee secret even if I worked Jollibee for three years as part time job.

The lesson that I've learned time with your family is important not your wealth..

Bosing Birthday

Today is Our Assistant Manager Arnold Arsolon Birthdays he Never expected that we had a surprised "Harana". A day before the team had plan to have a surprise Harana headed by ate Honey, that's why first in the morning while we working we had a secret that when our bosing comes in in open his office door the team will automatically gathered to sing a birthday song, and we success because he never expected it. As he said that first time of his life happens.

In noon time we had a lunch salo salo combination of lechon, kinilaw and native chicken from our bosing business. We very much enjoy that day, after taking our lunch we start our monthly meeting til 5:15 pm.

A Rainy day But does'nt stop My work

The rain does not stop my day to day activities. Yesterday my supervisor called my team mate to attend the seminar and then he told that all his scheduled activities for the next day will be given to me and I'am happy to accept though I have my prepared scheduled in which conflict but then I find a way to solve it, That is why I called to my customer to change the time to meet on site thanks they all grant. But I cannot proceed my work because of rain then I tried to borrow the emergency vehicle and thanks again my admin supervisor understand me. So I do survey in the morning from Growers and Dole request. In the afternoon I do pulong2 to the barangay so that they will know the requirements on how to avail the electricity, afterwards before 5 pm the last was final survey at Peda subdivision.

Before I'am going home I overtime a little bit because my TWA customer a proposed gasoline station, she badly needed the Final estimate on the next day.


I cannot imagine of what I've done today but its all grace from God all things work together for good. And its all has a purpose.. till the next..

Sport Planning Session

Funny and successful sport planning session that we had done today. Funny in the sence that the Master of Ceremony was lead by Jopoy Natividad. And successful because we had a lots of ideas that they are shared. The word of the day " Think out of the box ".

A whole day planning session held at Garden Oesis with free heavy snack, lunch and lots of "sitseria".

The purpose of this planning session is to prepare for next sport activities, this coming year 2009.

We have four newly members of Dalight sportcom, which can replaced to the vacant slots. In
as the meeting goes on there are many changes of the proposed program activities compared to previous. This time I'am in the sober tooth yellow team.

Development Dimension International Seminar

I was undergo a two days seminar and workshop last November 11-12, 2008. I never expected that I am the lucky person who can attend the seminar, since it was already given to our senior colleague but then our assistant vice president suggested that it will fit to the distribution engineer.
And without a doubt I'am happily accepted since it was all free and at the same time additional knowledge in my day to day activities.

Indeed it was a very fabulous and fantastic seminar. For two days I learned a lot from four lively facilitator the two was imported from cebu Mia and bords and the other two from davao light itself.
we had lot of video workshop, games for our ice breaker, and individual interaction of each topics.

By the way the seminar is under the Development Dimensions International. Focusing on the development personal development on how to deal with business to business or business to consumer interaction. Which divide into two, the personal needs and the practical needs in both are essential.

Under personal needs or the key principles are :

1. Maintain or enhance self esteem. (feeling valued, respected, important, and special.)
   
2. Listen and respond with empathy. (being heard, understood, and cared about.)
   
3. Involve the customer. ( being involved in process and decisions that affect them)
   

Under practical needs the service steps are:

1. Acknowledge the person. ( greet promptly and courteously, give full attention, use appropriate pace.)
   
2. Clarify the situation. ( ask the question to determine needs, listen carefully, summarize to check understanding)
   
3. Meet or exceed the need. ( if routine act promptly, if not routing agree on a clear course of action, take opportunities to exceed expectations.)
   
4. Confirm satisfaction. (ask the question to check satisfaction, commit to follow if appropriate, thank the customer)
   

We have additional topics on how to deal with a difficult person called take the HEAT.
H- hear them out. ( maintain eye contact, taking notes, nodding your head to acknowledge what the customer is saying.)

E- empathy (upset, disappointed, frustrated, and the fact of the situation that are causing those feelings.)

A-apologies ( I'm sorry this upset you, this situation is unfortunate, and i apologize for it, I'am sorry you felt you weren't fairly.)

T-take responsibilty for action.( clarify the needs, meet or exceed the need, confirm satisfaction)

All in all the seminar summing up that the business success comes from employees satisfaction/retentation then it follows to customer satisfaction and if they are satisfy the product or service they will become a customer loyalty then the business will success.

My Favorite place at Home

This area is my favorite place at home. After my work or if I have spare time I always infront of my computer exploring anything that goes in my mind.. Its a Intel core Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20 GHz, 1 giga bytes of RAM, 160 GB hardisk. I bought my computer last November 30, 2007. with flat screen 17 inches. My internet connection connected one month ago a DSL from PHILCOM with free telephone.

Thanks God for giving me the computer and internet connection.

Mens Seminar

Every year the member of the Body of Christ Grace Mission Church is exclusively had a gathering for adult men only because we have also a separate gathering for youth and women.

We end our seminar last November 3-6, 2008 held at Teachers Village Tagum City in our Multi Purpose building. Our theme " Meeting the Unexpected trials of Life " where one of our lecturer pastor Cyprian Franconas and our Speaker pastor Jun Gordo. It was a very elegant fellowship for mens because after the lecture in morning activities we had a sport basketball composed of four team La-Or La libertad and Oriental Church got the Champion, Sur-Com Surigao and Compostela Church got the second place the Tagum Patriot or Tagum Church got the second place and Del Sur Eagles means all Churches from del sur province. we had a total of 69 participants. Mr. Monico Alterado the newly elected president and I'am his Vice president. Almost all the inconvent Officers are retain.

After the election was the business meeting one of the high lights was the Mutuay Fund, the next fellowship where? same lacation, when? last week of October 2009 and the Local mens project.

Praise God I'm successesfully finished my task assignment workshop the " Life Line" where everybody got a chance to revealed their individual life testimony. I had a Lotted time of 30 minutes but we exceed to one and half hour because of the very interesting workshop.

Adventure in Maputi San Isidro Davao Oriental

Me and my family including her relatives got a chanced to visit at Maputi San Isidro Davao Oriental
Last October 31 to Nov. 1, 2008. It was a nice place were we gonna have to see the beautiful spot of mountain and seas that surround them. Sad to say I cannot able to visit one of the lake called cawa-cawa due of time constraint. Its four kilometer away from My wife Lola's house. But I did not missed the walk in river.

The purpose of that activities/event was to visit at cemetery were Lolo's of my wife buried for a long time.

I can say that what busy we are it is important to give time to our love ones who have there to lean on or have time to mingled.
